Large files & supported recordings +
Designed to read large files in slices instead of loading the whole video into memory. A 20 GB recording still needs enough free storage for its output. Browser and phone limits vary; a desktop browser is recommended for very large recordings.
Supports standard, unencrypted MP4 files with one video track and audio tracks. Fragmented recordings, complex edit timelines and codec changes are detected and rejected. Subtitles and extra metadata are not copied. Keyframe cuts preserve quality, so perfectly equal byte sizes aren’t promised. Maximum-size mode measures each output including its MP4 headers.
MB means 1,000,000 bytes. Splitting does not reduce total footage size; each part also needs its own small MP4 header. The final part may be smaller.
